TomCat FloorCare machines are designed and manufactured by the RPS Corporation in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. Since their inception in 1986, RPS have specialised in cleaning systems and surface preparation technology designed around performance, durability and practicality.

Starting at the 9 inch Nano Edge, TomCat’s range increases in size right up to the 257 litre colossus that is the XR ride on scrubber dryer.

TomCat produce machines that provide unrivaled results, a long service life and true cost in use benefits. Their products are supplied in more than 40 countries solidifying their worldwide reputation as a manufacturer of the highest quality cleaning equipment.

Why choose TomCat?

Less downtime. TomCat’s unique filtration system provides the best possible protection to the machine’s vacuum system. A drain saver prevents large debris from blocking hoses and drains on site. It can be easily removed to be emptied and cleaned and just slots straight back into its’ slot. A baffle plate separates any foam or chemical residue from the vacuum inlet meaning it cannot pass through the float cage and into the vacuum motor. After that TomCat fit a dry filter to prevent dust ingress into the motor and finally a traditional ball and cage system which blocks the vacuum pipe when the tank is full so it cannot be overfilled. All of the filter stages can be removed, cleaned and replaced without the use of tools so there is no need to call out an engineer.

Why choose TomCat?

Three different deck types. TomCat disk scrubber dryers use two flat pads or brushes that counter-rotate while water is dispensed to each. In general, they apply more pressure and agitation to the floor than a cylindrical machine because there is more brush/pad contact with the ground. Disk machines are most suited to flat and smooth floors but TomCat machines, with their HD 1 horsepower motors, are equally at home on aggressive tiled or non-slip flooring. Disk scrubber dryers require a pre-sweep.

TomCat cylindrical scrubber dryers have two rod-shaped brushes that turn in opposite directions. They remove small debris and scrub the floor so are often referred to as ‘scrubber sweepers’. They are ideal for cleaning uneven or rough surfaces and for use in sites with large amounts of debris such as pallet chippings, metal or plastic filings. Larger detritus will require a sweeper even if you have a cylindrical scrubber dryer.

The Edge system is TomCat’s range of innovative oscillating machines. Oscillation provides a unique level of performance without chemical and is particularly effective on traditionally difficult surfaces such as non-slip and Altro flooring. It can also be used to sand wooden floors, diamond polish natural stone and strip with just water. Results are often achieved in a single pass increasing productivity by up to 75% compared with traditional methods and the system uses up to 70% less water than a conventional scrubber dryer.

Why choose TomCat?

ZerO3. TomCat are the only manufacturer that have an on-board aqueous ozone system. Aqueous ozone is not new. It is sometimes referred to as ‘liquid ozone’ or ‘O3’ and is a powerful oxidizer that bonds with pathogens, microbes and contaminates to remove them from any hard surface making it an effective natural sanitiser/disinfectant. It can be up to 50 times more effective and 3,000 times faster than bleach. Traditionally O3 is produced by a wall mounted unit which costs thousands of pounds to install. Scrubber dryers are filled from that unit potentially risking the solution being diluted by any water or chemical that has been left in the tank. Aqueous ozone reverts back to drinking water 45 minutes to two hours after being produced so any unused solution and the cost of producing it is wasted.

ZerO3 is controlled by a switch on the scrubber dryer’s control panel. Fill the machine with cold tap water, turn the system on and you will be cleaning with Ozone. Not only does the solution clean the floor but it sanitises the cleaning pad, the machine’s wheels, squeegee blades, hoses and tanks reducing bad smells and maintaining your scrubber dryer in the highest possible order. As ZerO3 is produced on demand there is no wasted solution. No wasted money. Nothing but effective sanitisation.

ZerO3 can be added to any TomCat scrubber dryer and is particularly effective in environments where hygiene is imperative such as Healthcare, veterinary and food production.

Why choose TomCat?

Customisation. TomCat have a range of over 500 optional extras that can be added to any scrubber dryer at the point of order. One example is SUDS, their chemical dosing system that not only eliminates the risk of overdosing but means that you are guaranteed a uniform finish throughout site. The operator has the option of increasing dosing rates for high traffic or more soiled areas and can then reduce it back down minimising your chemical spend.

TomCat’s range of options also means you can make a machine that is perfect for your site – a large ride on scrubber dryer is ideally suited to maximising productivity when cleaning the walkways of your warehouse but it then won’t be able to clean under your storage racking. Simply add a spray hose and vacuum wander kit, park your machine near the area and use its’ cleaning solution and vacuum performance to clean your detail areas.

Their extras range from simple industrial blue safety lights to a freezer package that prevents the build up of condensation in the machine’s electrical system when it is used in refrigerated environments. Make TomCat exactly what you want.

Why choose TomCat?

Ongoing support. We offer machine installation on delivery so your operatives can start raising standards from day one. They will be shown how to use, clean and maintain the machine and certificates will be produced for your records. We also underpin all scrubber dryers with pre-planned engineer visits.

Every TomCat scrubber dryer we supply is covered by our Platinum Service Package giving you security that it will be maintained in the highest possible condition through scheduled preventative maintenance visits. Reactive service requests can be raised through our central team and an engineer will generally be on site within 48-72 hours. We pride ourselves on the way we look after every machine we supply and hold all major spare parts in stock.

Every site has a problem floor. TomCat is the solution.

Let us show you TomCat machines on a site and at a time of your choice.
